Tonight marks the fifth game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers in their best-of-seven playoff series. The Lakers are coming fresh off of a 102-96 win on Tuesday and will look to win the series and the championship tonight.

The game would be held close in the first half as the Los Angeles Lakers shot 56% from the field while the Miami Heat shot 47%. Jimmy Butler got hot with 22 points which included a three-pointer in the second quarter. He also had 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals while Duncan Robinson gave 10 points, including two three-pointers.
Tyler Herro scored eight points while drilling two three-pointers in the second period. Bam Adebayo had five points to go along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Jae Crowder scored four points. Kendrick Nunn played the most minutes off of the bench as he had 11 points.
As for the Lakers, LeBron James dropped 21 points while knocking down 3 three-pointers in the second quarter. He also collected 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and one steal while Anthony Davis contributed with 13 points. While scoring those 13 points, Davis also grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, committed 2 steals, and blocked one shot.
Former San Antonio Spurs’ Danny Green dropped five points which contained a three-pointer in the first quarter. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also had five points while Dwight Howard was kept scoreless. Kyle Kuzma played 15 minutes off of the bench but only had five points as the Heat went into halftime with a 60-56 lead.
The game was kept competitive in the second half as the Lakers scored a total of 52 points while the Heat scored 51. Robinson chalked up 16 points, earning of them from beyond the arc. Butler added 13 more points to his scoring total while recording 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block. Adebayo, Crowder, and Herro all combined for a total of 19 points. Nunn played 10 minutes off of the bench but only had a three-pointer.
On the other end of the floor, James stayed hot for 19 points, knocking down 3 three-pointers in the process. He also had 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals while Davis helped out with 15 points. Caldwell-Pope had 11 points while Green and Howard combined for just five points. Markieff Morris played the most minutes off of the bench but was kept scoreless as the Heat held on for a 111-108 win, making the series 3-2.
Jimmy Butler finished the game with 35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, a playoff career-high-tying 5 steals, and one block. LeBron James finished with 40 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals.
The Miami Heat will look to even the series up at 3-3 as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
