The Boston Celtics defeat the Chicago Bulls, winning the series 4-2

Last night marked Game 6 between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls in their playoff series.  The first game would be a victory for the Chicago Bulls as they hand the Celtics a 106 to 102 loss.  In that game, Jimmy Butler would score thirty points, pull down nine rebounds and dish off three assists.  Isaiah Thomas finished with thirty-three points, six rebounds and six assists.  Game 2 would also be victory for the Chicago team as they defeat the Boston Celtics with a 111-97 score.  Jimmy Butler would finish with twenty-two points, eight rebounds and eight assists.  Dwyane Wade would also end up with twenty-two points, along with four rebounds and two assists.  The Celtics would bounce back in the third game as they hand the Illinois team a 104 to 87 blowout loss.  Al Horford scored eighteen points, pulled down eight rebounds and threw out six assists.  Dwyane Wade would settle for eighteen points, one rebound and three assists.  The Boston team would also take Game 4, pulling away with a 104 to 95 win.  Isaiah Thomas finished with thirty-three points, four rebounds and seven assists.  Jimmy Butler would chalk up thirty-three points, five rebounds and nine assists.  The Celtics would win the last game, as well, escaping with a 108-97 win.  In that game, Isaiah Thomas scored twenty-four points, grabbed five rebounds and dished off four assists.  Avery Bradley would drop twenty-four points, as well, along with six rebounds and one assist.  The Chicago Bulls looked to survive another game as they faced the Boston Celtics in the United Center last night.

The game would start off right for the Celtics as Avery Bradley would shoot seventy-five percent from the field as he drops nine points, collecting two of those from behind the three-point lead.  Former Suns player, Gerald Green, would also shoot seventy-five percent from the field, collecting eight points which would include one three-pointer.  Isaiah Thomas would be limited to five points but he would get off three assists.  Al Horford would shoot a perfect one-hundred percent from the field but he would only be rewarded with four points.  He would crash the boards for three rebounds, along with four assists, though.  Jimmy Butler would get hot for ten points in the first quarter, along with three rebounds.  Robin Lopez would shoot seventy-five percent from the field to receive six points but it was the visiting team that would end the first quarter with a 30 to 23 lead.  The Celtics would continue to impress as Marcus Smart comes off the bench to knock down two three-pointers while pulling down two rebounds.  Bench player Kelly Olynyk would only put up four points but he would jump up to grab three defensive rebounds.  Jae Crowder, Al Horford and bench player, Terry Rozier, would each only hit one three-pointer.  Three-time All-Star, Jimmy Butler, would try to get his Chicago team into it as puts up seven points while he shoots a perfect one-hundred percent from the field but it was the Celtics who walk into halftime with a 54-41 advantage.

Things would not get any brighter for the home team as the Celtics go on a huge 34 to 18 run in the third quarter.  During that run, Avery Bradley would shoot a perfect one-hundred percent from the field, lighting the floor up with thirteen points which would contain one three-pointer.  Georgia-native, Jae Crowder, would contribute with six points while he collects three of those from beyond the arc.  On the other end of the court, Butler would chalk up six points as he shot fifty percent from the field.  Nikola Mirotic would earn five points, which contained one three-pointer but it was the Boston Celtics who would enter the fourth quarter with a huge 88-59 lead.  The home team would try to make a change in the game as Joffrey Lauvergne comes off the bench to put up eight points but it was the Boston Celtics who defeat the Chicago Bulls with a 105 to 83 score, winning the series, 4-2.  Avery Bradley would finish with twenty-three points, five rebounds and three assists.  Jimmy Butler would settle for twenty-three points and seven rebounds.
