Last night marked the second game in the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers playoff series. Kevin Durant would not play after suffering from a strained left calf muscle. The first game was a victory for the Warriors as they pulled away with a 121-109 win. Kevin Durant would score thirty-two points, pull down eleven rebounds and dish off two assists. C.J. McCollum finished with forty-one points, eight rebounds and one assist. The Trail Blazers looked to tie the series up last night in Oakland.
The Golden State Warriors would start the game off right as they put on an incredible scoring display in the first, shooting 56% as a team, limiting the visiting team to 27%. Klay Thompson went for eight points, which included one 3-pointer. Zaza Pachulia scored six points and pulled down three rebounds. Stephen Curry would score six points, as well, but only making one out of five 3-pointers. JaVale McGee would come off the bench to drop six points, too. Draymond Green would contribute to the game with six rebounds and six assists. On the other end, Damian Lillard would drop ten points but the home team would end the first quarter with a huge 33 to 17 lead. Former Orlando Magic player, Maurice Harkless, would score ten points for the Portland team in the second quarter, along with four rebounds. McCollum would score five points, only shooting 33% from the field. Evan Turner would throw up five points, as well, which contained one 3-pointer. Aminu came off the bench to connect for two out of five shots, which held one 3-pointer. McGee would try to keep the Warriors ahead as he drops seven points, grabs three rebounds and block two shots. Rookie Patrick McCaw would earn himself five points which included one 3-pointer as the Warriors walk into halftime with a 55-46 lead. In the third period, the Golden State Warriors would go on a huge 28 to 12 run as Curry gets hot for thirteen points, which included three out of six 3-pointers. Three-time All-Star, Klay Thompson, would connect for two 3-pointers, collecting six points for himself. Iguodala would come off the bench to only be held scoreless, but he would crash the boards for four rebounds as the Warriors enter the last quarter with a 83-58 advantage. The Trail Blazers would try to come back as Shabazz Napier drops ten points, which included two 3-pointers. It would be California team that close the game out, though, as Ian Clark comes off the bench to drop nine points and pull down three rebounds. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers with a huge 110-81 victory as the Warriors take a 2-0 lead in the series. Stephen Curry finished with nineteen points, six rebounds and six assists. Maurice Harkless finished with fifteen points, eight rebounds and one assist.
