Last night marked the second game between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers in their Playoff series. The last game ended with a Jazz victory as they slip away with a 97-95 win. In that game, Joe Johnson would score twenty-one points, pull down three rebounds and give out three assists. Blake Griffin finished with twenty-six points, seven rebounds and three assists. The Clippers looked to tie the series up last night in Los Angeles.
The game would start off right for the Los Angeles Clippers as DeAndre Jordan dropped ten points and pulled down five rebounds. Chris Paul would chalk up seven points, which included one 3-pointer. He would give out four assists in the quarter, as well. Blake Griffin would shoot 66% from the field but only be limited to four points. 2008 NBA champion, Paul Pierce, would come off the bench to drop four points of his own as the Clippers end the first quarter with a 29-18 lead. In the second quarter, Derrick Favors would try to help the Jazz out by scoring six points and pulling down two rebounds. Joe Johnson would come off the bench to collect six points, as well. Gordon Hayward and Joe Ingles would each knock down one 3-pointer for the Utah team. On the other end, Blake Griffin would chalk up nine points, shooting 44% from the field. Former Warriors player, Marreese Speights, would come off the Clippers bench to throw up five points, containing one 3-pointer. DeAndre Jordan would score four points and crash the boards for five rebounds as the California team walks into the locker rooms at halftime with a 51-42 advantage. In the third period, George Hill would drop six points, all coming from beyond the arc. The first-round pick in the 2003 draft, Boris Diaw, would collect five points, three of those coming from behind the 3-point lead. Chris Paul would help the Clippers out as he adds seven points to his scoring total, including one 3-pointer. Griffin would drop an additional six points, shooting 50% from the field. Luc Mbah a Moute and DeAndre Jordan would both score four points each as the home team would enter the last quarter with a 79-70 lead. The Jazz would look to cut into the lead as Ingles drops six points, containing one 3-pointer. But the Clippers would close things out as Paul goes for seven points, containing one 3-pointer. Jamal Crawford would come off the bench to drop six points as the Los Angeles Clippers defeat the Utah Jazz with a 99 to 91 win, tying the series up, 1-1.
