The Miami Heat get eliminated from the NBA Playoffs

Tonight was the battle for the 7th and 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.  Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat were looking to stay alive in the top eight seeds of the Conference.  The Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat were tied for the 8th spot while the Indiana Pacers were sitting at number seven.  The Pacers would clinch the 7th seed if they won or if both the Bulls and the Heat lost.  They would be eliminated if they lost and both the Bulls and Heat won.  The Bulls would clinch the 7th seed if they won and the Pacers ended up with a loss.  They would be eliminated if they lost and the Heat won.  The Heat would clinch the 7th seed if they won and both the Pacers and the Bulls lost.  They would be eliminated if they lost and if the Bulls and Pacers both won.

The Miami Heat took on the Washington Wizards in Miami, where the Heat would win, 110-102.  The Chicago Bulls would take on the struggling Brooklyn Nets in Chicago where the Bulls easily won, 112-73.  The Indiana Pacers would take on the Atlanta Hawks in Indiana where the Pacers would win, 104-86.  With those being the final scores, the Miami Heat would be eliminated from the Playoffs while the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls would take the 7th and 8th seeds.  This would mark the first time the Chicago Bulls would play in the Playoffs since the 2014-2015 season and the second straight season for the Indiana Pacers.  The Indiana Pacers will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round while the Chicago Bulls will face the Boston Celtics in the first round.  Miami Heat would end their season with a 41-41 record.
