Jason Kidd and Terry Stotts named Coaches of the Month

Today, it was announced that Milwaukee Bucks head coach, Jason Kidd, and Portland Trail Blazers head coach, Terry Stotts, were named Coaches of the Month.  After retiring from being on the basketball court, Jason Kidd began coaching the Brooklyn Nets from 2013 to 2014 and then started coaching the Milwaukee Bucks.  Before coaching in Portland, Terry Stotts was an assistant coach for the Seattle Supersonics from 1992-1998.  He then became an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks from 1998 to 2002.  Once he left Milwaukee, he would then get his first head coaching job with the Atlanta Hawks from 2002-2004.  After that, he became an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors from 2004-2005.  In 2005, he went back to Milwaukee but this time, he became the head coach and coached from 2005 to 2007.  Once he was done there, he spent five years in Dallas as an assistant coach before becoming the official head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.

In the month of March, Milwaukee Bucks went on a huge run, winning fourteen of their eighteen games and improving from being the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference to grabbing hold of the fifth seed.   They averaged 102.7 points per game, 38.3 rebounds per game and 23.6 assists per game, with Giannis Antetokounmpo averaging 23.2 points per game.  The next game they will play will be on April 4 against the 43-33 Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Portland Trail Blazers went on a huge run in the month of March, as well, winning thirteen of their sixteen games and improving from being the eleventh seed in the Western Conference to earning the eighth seed.  They averaged 111.3 points per game, 45.8 rebounds per game and 20.3 assists per game, with Damian Lillard averaging 26.8 points per game  The next game they will play will be on April 3 against the 30-45 Minnesota Timberwolves.
